Steer Protocol Expands to Cardano

Our first non-EVM expansion brings automated liquidity management, open vault infrastructure, and shared liquidity development to Cardano.

Steer Protocol is coming to Cardano, marking our first expansion beyond the EVM.

Steer Protocol builds infrastructure that automates liquidity management across decentralized markets. We turn liquidity strategies into software that monitors market conditions and manages positions, making it easier to put capital to work without constant manual intervention.

We’re bringing our experience in automated liquidity management and liquidity hooks to Cardano while helping develop an open vault standard for its ecosystem.

Automated liquidity management

Steer’s Smart Pools automate liquidity management through strategies that monitor market conditions and adjust positions according to defined rules. We’re bringing this approach to Cardano to reduce the manual work involved in managing liquidity.

The supporting infrastructure will handle market monitoring, position adjustments, fee collection, and rebalancing.

Depositors can access a strategy through a vault, reducing the need to adjust positions by hand. Token teams and DAO treasuries can also use Smart Pools to establish and maintain markets for their assets and manage the liquidity they supply and own.

An open vault standard for Cardano

We’re helping develop the Cardano Tokenized Vault Standard to give builders a common foundation for vault products.

Vaults pool assets into a strategy and give depositors shares representing their participation. A shared standard defines consistent ways to handle deposits, shares, accounting, and withdrawals including products where settlement takes time.

Alongside the specification, the work includes a reference implementation, conformance tests, and integration tooling to help builders adopt the standard.

With common interfaces, wallets and applications can support compatible vaults without a separate integration for every new protocol. Developers can reuse tools across products, giving users a more familiar experience as new vaults enter the ecosystem.

The proposed standard is being developed specifically for Cardano through an open process for ecosystem participation.

Hooks and shared liquidity

The capital-efficiency work behind Steer’s liquidity hooks will extend to Cardano through shared liquidity infrastructure.

By connecting participating lending protocols and exchanges, this infrastructure is designed to allow available capital to support trading within defined limits. The aim is to put that liquidity to work across markets and improve execution for traders, deepen exchange markets, so each dollar works harder.

Building with Cardano

Expanding beyond the EVM is a major milestone for Steer. We’re adapting our experience to Cardano’s architecture and are excited to build alongside the teams shaping its DeFi ecosystem.

We’ll share integration details, availability, and opportunities to participate as development progresses. If you’re building a DEX, lending protocol, vault product, or token market on Cardano, connect with Steer to discuss how we can work together.
